Cegledi at Miskolc
MISKOLC, Hungary (Interstat) — Miskolc will host Cegledi in a women’s professional basketball game Saturday, with both teams carrying 2-1 records into the matchup.
Miskolc enters as the home team after a 74-57 victory over Atomeromu in its most recent game. The win followed an 84-40 road victory over Vasas Csata earlier this season and a 71-66 home loss to Crvena zvezda. Nicole Enabosi is a player to watch for Miskolc. In her most recent outing against Crvena zvezda, she played 31 minutes and finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Miskolc will look to use its home court and balanced scoring to build on its 2-1 start.
Cegledi arrives on the road with the same 2-1 record. The visiting team is coming off a 56-52 win over NKA Pecs. Petra Farkas led Cegledi in that game with 37 minutes, 19 points, 10 rebounds and one assist. Judit Barnai added nine points, 13 rebounds, four assists and three blocks, while C. Bickle contributed 10 points, four rebounds and five assists. Cegledi has also beaten TFSE-MTK 70-67 on the road and lost at Sopron 90-66 this season. Farkas remains the focal point for Cegledi after her strong all-around performance.
The matchup features two teams with identical records and similar early-season momentum. Miskolc has shown the ability to score quickly, while Cegledi has relied on Farkas and its frontcourt production. Enabosi gives Miskolc an inside presence and a rebounding threat. Cegledi’s supporting cast includes Barnai and Bickle. Both teams are scheduled to continue their seasons after Saturday, with Miskolc set to host Panathlitikos before traveling to Szigetszentmiklos, Brod na Savi, Jairis, BEAC and Panathlitikos again, among other games. Cegledi is next scheduled to visit Vasas Csata, host Atomeromu, visit Szigetszentmiklos, host ETO Basket and visit Csata TKK, among other games. The teams are also scheduled to meet again later in the season at Cegledi.
Miskolc’s early schedule has included a mix of domestic and international opponents. The team opened with a decisive win at Vasas Csata, then fell at home to Crvena zvezda before handling Atomeromu. Enabosi’s production on the boards and in the paint has been a steady part of that start. Cegledi, meanwhile, has leaned on Farkas, whose 19-point, 10-rebound effort helped secure the win over NKA Pecs. Barnai’s 13 rebounds and Bickle’s five assists also provided support. Cegledi has received balanced contributions from its supporting players. The game is part of the women’s professional basketball schedule. Both teams will look to improve to 3-1.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Miskolc 88, Cegledi 83.
