BEAC at Atomeromu

SZEKSZÁRD, Hungary (Interstat) — Atomeromu will host BEAC in a women’s professional basketball game on Wednesday, with both teams carrying 1-1 season records into the matchup.

BEAC enters after a 94-56 home win over Szigetszentmiklos in its most recent outing. Malia Fisher, a player to watch for BEAC, finished that game with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists in 25 minutes. Leila Drahos added 25 points, three rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes, while Chelsea Dangelo had 20 points, five rebounds, six assists and one block in 24 minutes. BEAC’s other result this season was an 88-74 loss at ETO Basket. BEAC opened with that road loss before returning home for its win over Szigetszentmiklos.

Atomeromu also sits at 1-1. The team’s most recent game was a 74-57 loss at Miskolc. Zsofia Jahni, Atomeromu’s player to watch, produced 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 34 minutes. Reka Dombai contributed eight points, five rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes, and Nahomis Vargas scored 15 points with four rebounds in 20 minutes. Atomeromu’s other result was a 69-59 home win over NKA Pecs. Atomeromu opened with that home victory before falling at Miskolc.

Fisher has been a central figure for BEAC early this season. In the win over Szigetszentmiklos, she helped pace an offense that reached 94 points. Her all-around line included rebounding and playmaking contributions. Drahos and Dangelo also gave BEAC multiple scoring options, a balance the team will need against Atomeromu.

Jahni has been equally important for Atomeromu. Her 20-point, 10-rebound performance at Miskolc came in a loss, but it showed her ability to score inside and on the perimeter while also protecting the rim. Dombai and Vargas provided secondary support, and Atomeromu will look for similar production at home.

The matchup features teams still shaping their early-season identities. BEAC has shown the ability to score in bunches, while Atomeromu has a home win and a road loss. Both teams are 1-1, making Wednesday’s game an early opportunity to move above .500. A win would give either side a 2-1 mark and early momentum.

BEAC’s upcoming schedule includes games against Vasas Csata, TFSE-MTK, Sopron, Miskolc, NKA Pecs, Cegledi, Csata TKK, ETO Basket, Szigetszentmiklos and Atomeromu. Atomeromu will next face Csata TKK, Cegledi, TFSE-MTK, Sopron, Szigetszentmiklos, ETO Basket, Vasas Csata, NKA Pecs, Miskolc and BEAC. The teams are also scheduled to meet again later in the season.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Atomeromu 93, BEAC 86.
