SAN CRISTOBAL DE LA LAGUNA, Spain (Interstat) — Innova-TSN will seek its first win of the season when it hosts unbeaten IDK Gipuzkoa on Sunday in a women’s professional basketball game.

IDK Gipuzkoa enters at 2-0 after a 75-65 home win over Celta Zorka. Paige Robinson led the way with 21 points, one rebound and three assists in 33 minutes, Sacha Washington added 14 points and six rebounds in 15 minutes, and Khadija Faye contributed 10 points, nine rebounds and one block in 24 minutes. IDK Gipuzkoa also opened the season with a 72-53 road win at Ensino. Washington had 16 points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes in that victory.

Washington will be a player to watch for IDK Gipuzkoa. She has posted 14 points and six rebounds in her most recent game and 16 points and seven rebounds in the game before that. Over those two appearances, she has scored 30 points and collected 13 rebounds while playing 30 total minutes. Washington has reached double figures in scoring in both games and has been active on the boards. Washington has played 15 minutes in each of her past two games.

Innova-TSN is 0-1 after a 70-60 loss at Cadi La Seu. Aminata Sangare had 12 points, 13 rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes in that game. Sangare also recorded 18 points, 10 rebounds and one block in 33 minutes against Jairis in a previous outing. She has produced a double-double in each of her past two appearances and will be a player to watch for Innova-TSN. Sangare has averaged 15 points and 11.5 rebounds over her past two appearances. She has scored in double figures in both appearances.
