Vania Sengo scored 22 points for Barcelos, which improved to 1-1. Taina Paixao added 14 points and four assists, Sydney Harris had 16 points and six rebounds, and Marta Rodrigues contributed seven points and eight rebounds. Mariana Teixeira scored nine points off the bench. Barcelos shot 31 of 73 from the floor, 9 of 29 from three-point range and 11 of 13 from the free throw line. Uniao Sportiva fell to 0-2. Anna Hager scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds, Maria Lopes added 15 points, Kyra Gardner had six points and five assists, and Alice Martins dished out five assists. Uniao Sportiva shot 22 of 62 from the field, 6 of 23 from beyond the arc and 14 of 19 from the line. Barcelos grabbed 21 offensive rebounds to Uniao Sportiva’s 11.
