RIJEKA, Croatia (Interstat) — Taylor Golembiewski scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds as visiting Sibenik defeated Rijeka 78-60 in a women’s professional basketball game Saturday. Golembiewski added four assists and one block. Andjela Strize had 15 points, five rebounds and four assists for Sibenik, while Ivana Ujevic recorded 10 points and 12 rebounds. Jade Marmillod contributed 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks. M Vuksic added 10 points and five rebounds. Sibenik led 15-12 after the first quarter and 36-28 at halftime before trailing 54-52 after three quarters. Sibenik then outscored Rijeka 26-6 in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Rijeka was led by Anja Konjevic with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Maja Dzidic scored 11 points, Lana Pozder added eight points and six rebounds, and Petra Glomazic had five rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Mia Glomazic chipped in four points, five rebounds and two assists. Sibenik improved to 1-0, while Rijeka fell to 0-1.
