ALPO, Italy (Interstat) — Alpo VillaFranca defeated Itas Alperia Bolzano 89-61 on Saturday in a women’s professional basketball game. Antonia Peresson led Alpo with 25 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Alice Gregori added 21 points and six rebounds, Francesca Parmesani scored 14 points and Sofia Marangoni had 14 points and three rebounds. Alpo shot 32 of 67 from the floor and made 13 of 21 three-point attempts while converting 12 of 13 free throws. Bolzano was paced by Milena Mioni, who had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Giulia Manzotti added nine points and eight rebounds, Petra Oborilova had seven points and three assists, Giulia Cecili scored seven points with six rebounds and four assists, and Elena Gualtieri scored three points. Bolzano shot 26 of 61 overall, 3 of 20 from beyond the arc and 6 of 12 from the line. Alpo finished with 11 assists and 12 turnovers, while Bolzano had six assists and 16 turnovers. Alpo improved to 1-0, while Bolzano dropped to 0-1.
