TAMPERE, Finland (Interstat) — Pyrinto defeated Tapiolan Honka 80-74 Sunday in a women’s professional basketball game. The host led 24-12 after the first quarter and 36-26 at halftime. Tapiolan Honka surged with 27 points in the third quarter, but Pyrinto answered with 26 in the period and took a 62-53 edge into the fourth. Tapiolan Honka scored 21 in the fourth, while Pyrinto added 18 to seal the win. Ella Sahuri had five points and one rebound for Tapiolan Honka, while Ida Riihijarvi added five points, one rebound, one assist and one block. Carolina Kert posted three points, five rebounds and two assists. Maija Kuisma scored two points with one rebound. Mona Kettunen had two points, five rebounds and one assist. Chalina Makela scored eight points with one rebound and one assist. Ronja Orpo recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and one assist. Sanni Makinen scored five points with two rebounds.
