STEINSEL, Luxembourg (Interstat) — Contern will visit Amicale Steesel on Saturday for a women’s professional basketball game. Amicale Steesel enters the matchup with a 1-1 record, while Contern is 1-2. Both teams are looking to build momentum in the early part of the season.

Dykstra is the player to watch for Contern. She has been productive throughout the early season. She posted 33 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the loss at Musel Pikes. In the win over Les Sangliers Wooltz, she had nine points, nine rebounds and three assists. Her most recent game included 18 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Dykstra has scored in double figures in two of her three games and has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in two of them.

Ramos is the player to watch for Amicale Steesel. She scored 35 points in the win at Grengewald Hueschtert and also contributed four rebounds and three assists while playing all 40 minutes. Ramos gives Amicale Steesel a reliable scoring option and will be a focus for Contern’s defense. Amicale Steesel will look to pair her production with inside play from Flowers, who had a double-double in the most recent win.

The game features two teams still seeking consistency. Amicale Steesel has one win and one loss. Contern has one win and two losses. Contern will aim to support Dykstra on both ends, while Amicale Steesel will look to Ramos to continue her strong play.
