Oaklands led 40-32 at halftime and 62-45 after three quarters, then closed with a 32-point fourth quarter while limiting Nottingham to five. Shanice Beckford Norton finished with 16 points, three rebounds and two assists for Oaklands, while Lavinia Silva added 10 points, four rebounds and three assists and Holly Welsh scored 15 points with five rebounds. Mariam Olawoyin led Nottingham with 12 points, three rebounds and four assists. Shaynia Rose grabbed eight rebounds. Oaklands shot 19 of 48 from the floor, 3 of 21 from 3-point range and 21 of 25 from the free-throw line. Nottingham shot 10 of 27 from the floor, 2 of 9 from 3-point range and 7 of 15 from the free-throw line. Oaklands had 11 assists and seven turnovers; Nottingham committed 17 turnovers. Oaklands improved to 1-0, while Nottingham dropped to 0-1.
