FERROL, Spain (Interstat) — Maggie Doogan scored 38 points and grabbed six rebounds as Baxi Ferrol beat visiting Estepona 84-72 on Sunday in a women’s professional basketball game. Baxi Ferrol improved to 4-2, while Estepona fell to 2-5. Ferrol led 19-17 after one quarter, 39-35 at halftime and 65-49 after three. Estepona won the fourth quarter 23-19. Doogan paced Ferrol, which shot 27 of 59 from the floor, 10 of 22 from three-point range and 20 of 25 from the free throw line. Rachel Howard scored 19 points for Estepona, and Tinara Moore had 22 points and one rebound. Sydney Shaw added 13 points and four rebounds for Ferrol, while Cecilia Muhate had eight points and seven rebounds for Estepona. Estepona shot 28 of 60 overall, 6 of 26 from deep and 10 of 14 at the line. Ferrol had 10 offensive rebounds to Estepona’s eight and committed 10 turnovers to Estepona’s 16.
