HRADEC KRALOVE, Czech Republic (Interstat) — Visiting SBS Ostrava held off Sokol HK 78-76 on Wednesday in a women’s professional basketball game. Ostrava led 15-13 after the first quarter, 33-31 at halftime and 56-49 after three quarters. Sokol HK rallied with 27 fourth-quarter points, but Ostrava answered with 22 to secure the road win. Marina Ewodo led Ostrava with 20 points, six rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 30 minutes. Dragana Domuzin added 16 points, five rebounds and five assists. Kadri Lass scored 14 points, and Lucie Valkova had 11 points, nine rebounds and four assists. For Sokol HK, Anna Brozova scored 20 points, while Alexandra Buknova added 16 points. Aerianna Harris contributed seven points, seven rebounds and six assists. Sokol HK’s Rhema Ogele had eight points and eight rebounds, Jitka Pilarova scored six points, and Natalie Vlachova added seven points and four rebounds. Ostrava improved to 23-17-1. Sokol HK fell to 9-18.
