Brod na Savi vs. Sibenik

ŠIBENIK, Croatia (Interstat) — The Croatian women’s league’s top two teams meet Friday when Brod na Savi visits Sibenik at 7 p.m. local time, with first place on the line.

Brod na Savi (23-2) owns the league’s best record and arrives on a three-game winning streak, most recently beating Tresnjevka 73-68 on May 9. Forward Ana Marija Begic has been the engine of that success. Over her last four games, Begic averaged 18.3 points and 9.5 rebounds, posting double-doubles in three of those outings. She played 37 minutes against Tresnjevka, finishing with 23 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.

Sibenik (19-5) sits second in the standings and is coming off a 72-54 win at Zagreb on May 6, its third win in four games. Guard Bendu Yeaney led Sibenik in that victory with 23 points, seven rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes. Over her last four games, Yeaney averaged 20.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

The teams have split their two meetings this season. Brod na Savi won 76-73 at Sibenik on Jan. 31, and Brod na Savi also took the first matchup 89-85 on Oct. 25, 2025, at home. Both games were decided by single digits. Sibenik will look to protect its home floor and avenge that January loss, while Brod na Savi seeks to widen its lead atop the table.

The two teams will face again Tuesday, May 19, at Brod na Savi.
