AGUASCALIENTES (Interstat) — Aguascalientes rolled past Leon 98-68 on Friday in a Mexico B women’s professional basketball game. Danni Williams scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished four assists to lead the hosts. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis added 20 points, Jessika Carter contributed 15 points and Maria Barneda posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists. Stephanie Kostowicz had nine points, six rebounds and four assists, and Esmery Martinez pulled down 11 rebounds. Leon was led by Brianna Jackson’s nine points and 14 rebounds, while Liz Scott scored 12 points. Aguascalientes improved to 17-2 with the victory, while Leon dropped to 3-14. The two teams are scheduled to meet again Saturday in Aguascalientes.
