VILAGARCIA AROUSA, Spain (Interstat) — Visiting Alcorcon defeated Mariscos 70-68 in a Spain LF2 women’s professional basketball game Saturday.

Alcorcon shot 25 of 61 from the floor, including 5 of 25 from three-point range, and made all 15 free throws. Mariscos shot 26 of 60 from the floor, 4 of 14 from beyond the arc, and hit all 12 free throws. Alcorcon held an offensive rating of 98.4 compared to Mariscos’ 96.2, both from 71 possessions.

Alcorcon (20-6) was led by Claudia Del Amo with 18 points and seven rebounds, Marta Blanco with 14 points and eight rebounds, and Dovile Miliauskaite with 13 points and six rebounds. Nohemy Ipo added 17 points.

For Mariscos (16-9), Blanca Manivesa scored 18 points, Gara Jorge added 14 points and eight rebounds, and Christabel Ezumah had 10 points and nine rebounds. Cristina Loureiro contributed 10 points.

Alcorcon forced 14 turnovers while committing 11 and recorded nine steals. Mariscos had nine offensive rebounds to Alcorcon’s eight. Both teams committed 21 fouls. The teams will meet again Saturday, May 9 at Alcorcon.
