SISU vs. Herlev

HERLEV, Denmark (Interstat) — A pivotal women’s professional basketball matchup awaits Thursday night when SISU visits Herlev at Herlev Arena, with both teams jockeying for position in the Danish league standings.

SISU (13-7 across all competitions) enters the 7 p.m. local time tipoff riding momentum from a 53-49 home victory over Herlev on April 29. Guard Michala Bork led the way in that contest with 18 points, six rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 38 minutes, continuing a strong stretch that included a 23-point, nine-rebound outing against Aabyhoj on April 12. Bork’s all-around production — she also contributed three blocks in the most recent Herlev meeting — makes her a focal point for the visitors.

Herlev (11-10) seeks redemption on its home floor after falling by four points in the previous head-to-head. Forward Isabella Marion recorded a double-double in that loss with 12 points and 10 rebounds to go with four blocks. She has been a consistent force, posting a 21-point, nine-rebound performance against Falcon on April 11 and a 15-point, 10-rebound outing at Falcon on April 18. Herlev will need Marion to anchor both ends against a SISU squad that has won three of its last four games.

The teams have split their four meetings this season. Herlev won 74-70 at SISU on Dec. 14, 2025, but SISU claimed the other three, including lopsided victories of 92-54 on Nov. 1, 2025, and 72-53 on Sept. 27, 2025. SISU’s recent form shows resilience: after a 66-53 loss to Falcon on Feb. 20, the team won six of its next seven, highlighted by a 99-63 rout of Horsholm on March 7. Herlev, meanwhile, has alternated results, earning a 60-48 win at Falcon on April 18 but falling to Falcon 54-45 on March 28.

Key supporting players loom large. For SISU, forward Josefine Haabegaard grabbed 17 rebounds in the April 29 win, while guard Lotta Stach added 14 points. Herlev counters with guard Caroline Rasmussen, who contributed eight points and 12 rebounds in the same game, and forward Malou Lachenmeier, who scored 13.

Thursday’s contest marks the final regular-season meeting between the rivals. With playoff implications, both sides will lean on their stars — Bork for SISU, Marion for Herlev — to seize control in a series that has been defined by tight margins and dominant stretches.
