UMMC vs. Dynamo Kursk

KURSK, Russia (Interstat) — UMMC Ekaterinburg can clinch a spot in the next round of the Russian women’s basketball playoffs when it visits Dynamo Kursk on Monday for Game 4 of their best-of-five series.

UMMC leads the series 2-1 after dropping Game 3 on Saturday, 83-78, in Kursk. The defending champions won the first two games at home — 69-60 on April 21 and 78-58 on April 19 — and need one more victory to advance.

Megan Walker, a forward for UMMC, will be a key player to watch. In Saturday’s loss, she recorded 14 points and 12 rebounds in 24 minutes. In the two previous games against Dynamo, she scored 14 points with five rebounds in a win April 21 and posted three rebounds and one assist in a limited 16-minute outing April 19.

For Dynamo Kursk, guard Daria Repnikova has been the driving force. She produced 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 34 minutes during the Game 3 victory. That followed a 17-point, three-rebound effort in a Game 2 loss April 21, and just three points in a Game 1 defeat April 19.

UMMC holds a dominant 33-2 record across all competitions this season, while Dynamo enters with a 29-7 mark. The teams have split six meetings overall this season, with Dynamo winning two of three on its home floor.

Monday’s game tips off at 7 p.m. local time in Kursk.
