Zadar vs. Split

Preview: Zadar Looks to Sweep Season Series Against Struggling Split

SPLIT, Croatia (Interstat) — Two teams at the bottom of the standings will meet Sunday when Zadar visits Split in a Croatian women’s professional basketball matchup.

The game, scheduled for April 19, 2026, pits a Zadar squad (5-15) seeking to build momentum against a Split team (1-18) mired in a difficult season. Despite their records, Zadar enters as a clear favorite, having won the first two meetings this season. They earned a 67-59 home victory on Dec. 14, 2025, and narrowly edged Split 69-68 on the road on March 8. The teams also played a neutral site game on April 18, 2026, with no result provided.

Zadar is projected to win with a 62.4% probability, according to Interstat’s ELO system. They are led by guard Martina Kujundzic, who is coming off a standout performance in a 91-77 loss to Rijeka on April 14. In that game, Kujundzic logged 36 minutes, scoring 25 points with eight rebounds and four assists. Teammates Sam Deem (14 points, nine rebounds, eight assists) and Lola Stipic (15 points) provided support.

Split, meanwhile, is reeling from a 77-34 defeat to Brod na Savi on March 28. Iva Tabak (10 points, seven rebounds) and Bruna Mrcela (seven points, six rebounds) were the top performers in that lopsided loss. The team has failed to score more than 59 points in any game this season and has suffered several defeats by 40 or more points.

For Zadar, this game represents a critical opportunity to secure a third win over a conference rival and improve its positioning before hosting Medvescak on April 25. Split will look to find any spark to avoid a season sweep before hitting the road for games at Pozega on April 23 and KASL Split on April 25.

Tip-off is set for Sunday in Split.
