Rijeka vs. Zadar

Preview: Rijeka Looks to Sweep Season Series Against Struggling Zadar

ZADAR, Croatia (Interstat) — The Rijeka women’s professional basketball team will aim to solidify its position in the league standings when it visits last-place Zadar on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Rijeka (10-9) enters the matchup favored to complete a three-game season sweep of Zadar (5-14). The visitors won the previous two meetings decisively, both by scores of 81-65 on Dec. 6, 2025, and 81-62 on Jan. 30, 2026. According to Interstat’s ELO system, Rijeka carries a 66.6% probability of victory.

Rijeka is coming off a 62-56 home win over Pozega on March 28, powered by a dominant double-double from Marijana Zukanovic. The power forward logged 32 minutes, scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Forward Mia Masic added 20 points. The team’s form has been inconsistent, however, mixing blowout wins with heavy losses, including a 97-72 defeat at Brod na Savi on March 11.

Zadar, meanwhile, is reeling from a 102-62 home loss to Ragusa on March 28. In that game, Sam Deem led Zadar with 18 points in 39 minutes, and guard Martina Kujundzic added 12 points. The defeat was emblematic of a difficult season; Zadar has lost 10 of its last 11 games, with the lone win a 67-59 victory over Split on Dec. 14, 2025. Their defense has been a particular concern, surrendering 100 or more points in three of their last five contests.

The game presents a critical opportunity for Rijeka to build momentum before hosting KASL Split on April 18. For Zadar, it is a chance to play spoiler and find a rare bright spot in a disappointing campaign before traveling to face Split on April 18.

Tipoff is set for Tuesday evening at the arena in Zadar.
