COPENHAGEN, Denmark (Interstat) — Herlev stunned first-place Falcon with a 60-48 victory in a women’s professional basketball game Saturday, overcoming overwhelming odds to split the season series.

Interstat’s ELO system had given Falcon a 93.10 percent probability to win. Herlev’s defense proved decisive, holding the home team to its lowest point total of their head-to-head matchups this season.

Isabella Marion led Herlev with 15 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Malou Lachenmeier added a game-high 18 points. For Falcon, Alma Gandrup scored 11 points.

The win improved Herlev’s record to 11-9 across all competitions. Falcon, which entered the game having won 14 of its first 17 contests, fell to 14-4.
