Campobasso vs. Roseto

ROSETO, Italy (Interstat) — A swift rematch with playoff implications is set for Thursday when Campobasso visits Roseto in an Italy A2 women’s professional basketball clash just three days after a dramatic finish between the clubs.

Campobasso (20-9), holding the superior record, seeks immediate redemption after a narrow 58-56 home loss to Roseto on Monday. The visiting side had won the two prior meetings this season, including an 84-81 victory here on Feb. 8.

The hosts, Roseto (9-12), have found momentum, riding a three-game winning streak highlighted by that recent road upset. Their surge has tightened the standings and sets the stage for a tense back-to-back series, with the teams scheduled to meet again in Roseto on Sunday.

A key matchup will feature Campobasso forward Sara Madera against Roseto’s standout Alyssa Ustby. Madera recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in Monday’s loss, her third double-double in the last four games. However, Ustby was pivotal in that contest, posting 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and a block in 36 minutes. The American has been dominant, averaging 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds over the current three-game win streak.

Campobasso’s recent form has been uneven, with two straight losses following a four-game win streak. Beyond Madera, production from supporting scorers will be critical. Roseto, meanwhile, has seen improved offensive output, scoring 76 and 88 points in two of its last three outings after a stretch of lower totals.

According to Interstat’s ELO system, Campobasso enters with a 64.10 percent probability to win, reflecting its stronger overall season but acknowledging Roseto’s recent head-to-head success and home-court advantage.

The contest tips off Thursday at Roseto’s home venue.
