Plasencia vs. GMASB
Preview: Plasencia Looks to Sweep Season Series Against GMASB in LF Women’s Basketball
GRANADA, Spain (March 20, 2026) (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum in the back half of the Spain LF season will meet Saturday when Plasencia visits GMASB at Palacio Municipal de Deportes de Granada.
The visiting Plasencia (9-13) holds a higher position in the standings and won the first meeting this season, 76-67 at home on Dec. 7, 2025. They enter on a high note after a dominant 69-49 victory over Viladecans on March 14. Sydney Brown, a key player for Plasencia, posted 14 points and eight rebounds in that win. Over her last three games, Brown is averaging 10.3 points and 6.0 rebounds.
However, Plasencia has struggled with consistency, alternating wins and losses in its last five contests.
The home side, GMASB (5-17), has found a recent spark, winning two straight games after a five-game skid. Their offense has surged, averaging 79 points in those victories behind the outstanding play of Rosa Revueltas. The guard is in peak form, averaging 20.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists over her last three outings. She scored a season-high 23 points in the March 14 win at Edbaser.
GMASB will rely on its revitalized attack, which also features Patricia Benet and Carmen Villanueva, to challenge Plasencia. Benet scored 22 points in the recent win over Edbaser.
Despite GMASB’s poor overall record, its recent form and home court present a challenge for Plasencia. The key matchup will feature Plasencia’s Brown against GMASB’s dynamic backcourt of Revueltas. Plasencia will aim to control the interior and replicate its defensive success from the December meeting, where it held GMASB to 67 points.
Saturday’s contest is the first of a crucial back-to-back set for both teams, as they are scheduled to meet again in Granada on Sunday.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. local time.
