ATHENS, Greece (Interstat) — Kennedy Burke scored 25 points to guide Mersin to an 85-80 victory over Athinaikos in a Eurocup Women game Thursday. Burke, a guard from Northridge, California, added nine rebounds in 37 minutes. Lindsay Allen supported with 16 points and six assists for Mersin, which improved to 24-13 overall. Athinaikos, now 11-4, was led by Kristine Anigwe’s 18 points and 10 rebounds. Robyn Parks added 17 points in the loss. The teams will meet again in the return fixture April 9 in Mersin.
