Herlev vs. Amager

Herlev, Amager Set for Women’s Basketball Rematch in Kastrup

KASTRUP, Denmark (Interstat) — A pair of teams on contrasting trajectories will meet Saturday when Herlev visits Amager in a Danish women’s professional basketball matchup at Kastrup Hall.

Herlev (8-8) enters the contest at .500, seeking to solidify a winning record. Amager (3-13) looks to halt a slide and find momentum in the final stretch of the season. The game is scheduled for March 21, 2026.

The visiting Herlev squad will rely on forward Isabella Marion, who is coming off a dominant performance in the teams’ most recent meeting. On March 7, Marion posted a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds in 29 minutes to lead Herlev to a 62-54 home victory over Amager. In her last three games, Marion is averaging 14.7 points and 9.0 rebounds.

Amager’s hopes will rest heavily on guard Isabella Palmqvist. She scored a team-high 19 points in the loss to Herlev earlier this month and is averaging 21.0 points over her last three contests, including a 23-point, 10-rebound effort against Falcon on Feb. 28.

Recent history heavily favors Herlev. The team has won the last three head-to-head meetings by an average margin of 23.7 points, including the eight-point win on March 7 and a 77-53 victory on Feb. 6. Amager’s last win in the series came in the season’s opening matchup, a 60-47 home triumph on Oct. 18, 2025.

Herlev has shown inconsistency but enters with confidence after its win over Amager two weeks ago snapped a two-game losing streak. Amager has lost two straight since a 92-79 victory over Horsholm on Feb. 21, which represents one of its three wins this season.

The matchup pits Herlev’s balanced attack, which saw three players score in double figures in the last meeting, against an Amager team leaning on Palmqvist’s high-volume scoring. Controlling the paint will be key, as Marion’s rebounding prowess for Herlev will challenge an Amager frontcourt that has struggled defensively.

Tipoff is set for Saturday in Kastrup.
