Norwood vs. Woodville

FLINDERS PARK, Australia (Interstat) — The Woodville women’s basketball team will look to extend its winning streak against Norwood when the two sides meet Saturday at Flinders Park in an Australia NBL clash.

Woodville (6-5 overall) enters the game with momentum, having won its last four contests. The most recent was a 84-64 victory over Noarlunga City on May 9, in which forward Naomi Allotey posted 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes. Allotey, a key player to watch, has averaged 13.5 points and 8.8 rebounds over her past four games, including a double-double in three of those outings.

Norwood (5-4 overall) is coming off an 75-58 win against Central Districts on May 9, fueled by a dominant performance from forward Cali Clark, who recorded 19 points, 16 rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes. Clark has been a consistent force, notching double-doubles in three of her last four games, with a low of 14 points and seven rebounds in a 53-83 loss to West Adelaide on April 24.

The two teams last met March 21, when Woodville won 86-81 at Norwood. That result snapped a two-game winning streak for Norwood against Woodville in the previous season’s meetings. Woodville enters Saturday’s game with a 3-0 record at home this season, while Norwood is 2-2 on the road.

Norwood’s recent form has been uneven. After a 0-3 start to the season, the team has won five of its last six, but all three losses came on the road. The Flames’ offense has been led by Clark, who averages a double-double, and guards Ally Becki and Maddy Hinton, who combined for 34 points in the Central Districts win.

Woodville, meanwhile, has won five of its last six after a 1-3 start. The Warriors’ depth was on display in the 82-66 win over South Adelaide on May 2, when four players scored in double figures, including Allotey (11 points, seven rebounds) and guard Nani Falatea (21 points, nine rebounds, five assists).

Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. local time. The winner will gain crucial positioning in the tight NBL standings, with both teams eyeing a top-four finish. Woodville will aim to protect its home court, while Norwood seeks its first win at Flinders Park since the 2024 season.

After Saturday, Norwood travels to North Adelaide on May 30, while Woodville visits Central Districts the same day.
