Mandurah vs. Rockingham
Preview: Mandurah at Rockingham, Friday, April 24, 2026
ROCKINGHAM, Australia (Interstat) — A compelling rematch awaits in the Australia NBL women’s competition on Friday as the Rockingham host the Mandurah at Rockingham.
The matchup features teams on contrasting trajectories. Rockingham (3-1) enters with a three-game winning streak, including a dominant 104-84 road victory over Goldfields on April 18. Mandurah (2-2), meanwhile, looks to rebound from a 62-69 loss to Willetton that same day.
All eyes will be on a marquee individual duel between Mandurah guard Claire Jacobs and Rockingham forward Teige Morrell. Jacobs is coming off a stellar all-around performance of 19 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two blocks in the loss to Willetton. She has been a consistent offensive force, scoring 20 or more points in her last four games. That includes a season-high 34 points in a 97-77 home win over Rockingham on March 27.
In that late-March meeting, Rockingham struggled to contain Jacobs. The home side will rely on the interior presence of Morrell to shift the balance. Morrell is averaging a double-double during Rockingham’s win streak, posting 24 points and 11 rebounds against Goldfields after a 13-point, 14-rebound effort at Southwest on April 10.
Beyond the stars, Rockingham’s supporting cast has been potent. Guard Stefanie Berberabe added 22 points and seven assists against Goldfields. Mandurah will need production beyond Jacobs; Jade Gowland provided 14 points off the bench in the last outing.
The game presents a clear narrative: Can Rockingham’s current form and home-court advantage avenge its earlier 20-point loss, or will Jacobs once again propel Mandurah to victory? For Rockingham, maintaining their momentum is key before a May schedule featuring five games. For Mandurah, avoiding a losing record and regaining the offensive rhythm shown in their 82-point performance against Kalamunda on April 11 is the immediate priority.
Tip-off is set for Friday night at Rockingham.
