Rockhampton vs. Logan

LOGANHOLME, Australia (Interstat) — The Logan women’s basketball team hosts Rockhampton on Friday, June 5, 2026, in an Australia NBL matchup that pits the league’s top team against its last-place club.

Logan (7-2) enters the 7 p.m. tip at Loganholme riding a three-game winning streak, most recently a 92-81 road victory over S.C. Phoenix on May 30. Forward Prasayus Notoa recorded 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes as one of three Logan scorers in double figures. Leah Scott added 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Maria Barneda poured in 20 points. The home side’s lone losses this season came against Mackay and Cockburn, and the team has outscored opponents by an average of 13.5 points per game.

Rockhampton (1-6) has lost five of its past six games, the lone victory coming May 23 at Gold Coast. The Rockhampton offense has struggled mightily, scoring 66 points or fewer in four of its seven contests. In the most recent outing, a 74-66 home loss to Northside on May 30, forward Emily Kiser played all 40 minutes and posted 19 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocks. Kiser has been a consistent force, averaging 22.2 points and 14.6 rebounds over her past five games despite the team’s struggles. Shanique Lucas contributed 13 points and 8 rebounds in the Northside loss, and Tai Wakelin Gray added 11 points.

The matchup features two contrasting trajectories. Logan’s depth has been a strength, with four different players leading the team in scoring across the first nine games. Rockhampton, meanwhile, has relied heavily on Kiser, who has logged 35-plus minutes in all but one game this season. The Rockhampton defense has allowed 89.3 points per game over its past three contests.

After Friday, Rockhampton plays at South West Metro on Saturday and at Ipswich on Sunday before returning home June 12 against Cairns. Logan next plays June 13 at Southern Districts, then hosts South West Metro on June 20.
