Geelong vs. Ringwood
HEATHMONT, Australia (Interstat) — The Ringwood women’s basketball team, holding a 1-8 record across all competitions, hosts Geelong (7-23) on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Heathmont in a matchup of two struggling sides in the NBL.
Geelong enters the contest on a six-game losing streak, dropping its most recent outing 74-70 to Keilor on May 3. Forward Jordan Vasquez has been a consistent contributor, posting double-doubles in three of her last five games. In the loss to Keilor, Vasquez played 31 minutes and finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and one block. She also recorded 13 points and 10 rebounds against Sandringham on May 2, and 11 points and 13 rebounds at Diamond Valley on April 18.
Geelong’s other top performers in the Keilor defeat included Reagan Bass (21 points, three rebounds) and point guard Lilly Rotunno (19 points, three rebounds, one assist). The team’s lone win in its past 10 games came Feb. 1 against Sydney Flames, 89-76.
Ringwood has lost seven straight games, including a 99-85 defeat at Diamond Valley on Saturday. Guard Harsimran Kaur led the way with 19 points, six rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes. She also scored 17 points with nine rebounds against Casey on April 17. Emma Clarke (10 points, four rebounds, six assists) and Aneta Bandilovska (six points, two rebounds, six assists) provided support against Diamond Valley.
The home team’s only victory this season came April 11 against Northern Force, 87-69.
Sunday’s game tips off at Heathmont. Ringwood will look to slow Vasquez and exploit Geelong’s porous defense, which has allowed 80 or more points in eight of its last 10 games. Kaur’s scoring ability could provide a spark for a Ringwood offense that has averaged 79 points in its past three outings.
