Hobart vs. Frankston
SEAFORD, Australia (Interstat) — The Hobart and Frankston women’s basketball teams, both sporting identical 5-9 records across all competitions, meet Saturday, June 13, 2026, in an Australia NBL matchup at Seaford.
The visiting Hobart squad will lean on forward Sharna Thompson, who has been a consistent force. Over her last five games, Thompson has averaged 24.6 points and 5.6 rebounds, including a 25-point, 10-rebound effort in a 74-64 loss to Northern Force on May 30 and a 32-point, 10-rebound, four-assist performance in a 98-94 win at Ballarat on May 24.
Frankston will counter with Jacqueline Trotto, a guard who logged 37 minutes and recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 70-52 loss to Sandringham on June 5. Trotto has struggled with consistency recently, scoring in single digits in three of her last four outings.
The teams met once earlier this season, with Frankston edging Hobart 77-76 on March 28 in Hobart. That win snapped a two-game losing streak for Frankston in the series, though the margin was narrow.
Hobart enters Saturday’s game having lost two of its last three, including a 74-64 defeat at Northern Force on May 30. The team’s other recent results include a 98-94 win at Ballarat on May 24 and a 102-77 loss at Eltham on May 23.
Frankston has dropped four straight, most recently a 70-52 home loss to Sandringham on June 5. The team’s last victory came April 24, an 85-69 home win over Dandenong.
Both clubs face challenging schedules ahead. Hobart travels to Ringwood on Sunday, then hosts Sandringham on June 20. Frankston visits Dandenong on June 20 before hosting Knox on June 27.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. local time.
