SPLIT, Croatia (Interstat) — Rijeka delivered a decisive 78-43 victory over Split in a women’s professional basketball game Sunday. The visiting team controlled the contest from the start, handing Split its 15th loss of the season. The win improves Rijeka’s record across all competitions to 8-8, while Split falls to 1-15. Rijeka’s Nerea Brajac led a balanced team effort in the victory. The game, organized in Croatia, continued a lopsided trend between the teams after Rijeka’s 99-51 win in their prior meeting last October. Rijeka was projected as a heavy favorite to win.
