Montpellier, which improved to 19-7, avenged an October loss to Chartres. The hosts pulled away despite a near triple-double from Chartres’ Jasmine Bailey, who finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Sarah Cisse and Nell Angloma each added 16 points for Montpellier.

Chartres, which fell to 4-12, also got 12 points from Assitan Kone. Montpellier’s defense held firm in the closing minutes to secure the home win.
