MOORPARK, Calif. (Interstat) — Helena Koubek scored 19 points and added five rebounds to lead Moorpark past Victor Valley 60-50 in a women’s junior college basketball game Sunday. Moorpark improved to 3-0, while Victor Valley fell to 0-2. Aly Taufaasau scored 11 points and Daniela Rocha Bentancourt had 13 for the Raiders, and Mikayla Oliver grabbed 11 rebounds and added two assists and two blocks. Taufaasau also had five rebounds, and Kalysa Phanhsavang scored 11 points. For the Rams, Bella Rincon scored 13 points and added seven rebounds, Mya Graham-Scott had 11 points and four assists, and Zoey Boulware added eight points, six rebounds and three blocks. Brooke Seeger and Garyontanae Bradley each had six rebounds for Victor Valley. Moorpark shot 26 of 74 from the floor and committed 17 turnovers, while Victor Valley shot 21 of 56 and committed 32 turnovers. Victor Valley held a 44-43 rebounding edge and Moorpark had 43 rebounds.
