Feather River vs Siskiyous
WEED, Calif. (Interstat) — The Siskiyous Eagles will look to complete a regular-season sweep when they host the Feather River Golden Eagles in a California community college women’s basketball game Monday.
The Golden Eagles (5-15) travel to face Siskiyous (12-15) in a rematch of a Jan. 24 contest won decisively by the home Eagles, 70-50. That game is part of a challenging stretch for Feather River, which has lost six consecutive games since its last victory on Dec. 12.
Feather River’s most recent outing was a 57-52 road loss to College of the Redwoods on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to find consistent offense during their skid, failing to reach 60 points in any of the six defeats.
Siskiyous enters the matchup looking to rebound from a 70-48 loss at Butte on Wednesday. Prior to that, the Eagles had won three of their previous four games, including a 100-84 victory over Redwoods and a 77-46 win over Lassen. Their offense has shown potency, scoring 70 or more points in four of their last seven games.
A player to watch for Feather River is Ashanti Stewart, though her recent playing time has been limited. She logged just one minute in a loss at Lassen on Feb. 4.
The head-to-head result from January looms large. In that game, Siskiyous established control early and never relented, handing Feather River one of its more lopsided losses of the season. The Golden Eagles will need to devise a more effective defensive plan to slow the Siskiyous attack.
For Siskiyous, protecting its home court is crucial as it aims to stay above .500 in conference play and build momentum for its final regular-season games later in the week at Shasta and Lassen.
Feather River’s upcoming schedule offers little respite, with a quick turnaround to host Redwoods on Thursday. Monday’s game provides an opportunity to snap its prolonged losing streak and gain a measure of revenge against its regional rival.
Tip-off is set for Monday, Feb. 16, 2026.
