Santa Monica vs Antelope Valley
Preview: Santa Monica Corsairs at Antelope Valley Marauders
LANCASTER, Calif. (Interstat) — The Antelope Valley College women’s basketball team will look to continue its dominance over a struggling Santa Monica College squad when the teams meet in a California Community College Athletic Association matchup on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.
The Marauders (12-10) handily defeated the visiting Corsairs (3-16) 80-42 in their first meeting on Jan. 21. Antelope Valley enters on a high note after an 80-48 rout of West Los Angeles on Wednesday, powered by a 29-point, 6-assist performance from guard Ariana Soil.
Soil, a key player to watch for the Marauders, has been a consistent offensive force. Antelope Valley has won four of its last six games and will be heavily favored at home against a Santa Monica team mired in a difficult season.
The Corsairs have lost 10 of their last 11 games, including a recent forfeit to Glendale on Feb. 7. Their last victory was a 55-48 win over West Los Angeles on Jan. 28. Santa Monica will rely on forward Ava Sweat, who leads the team in recent production. Sweat scored 18 points and grabbed three rebounds in the first game against Antelope Valley this season. Over her last seven games, she is averaging nearly a double-double.
Antelope Valley’s balance presents a major challenge. In their last outing, Maddie Martin added 15 points and Shaniya Sinclair controlled the glass with 12 rebounds alongside Soil’s standout showing.
Santa Monica’s defense, which has allowed an average of 70.2 points per game this season, will need a significant improvement to contain the Marauders’ attack. Antelope Valley averages 66.5 points per contest.
The game tips off at 5 p.m. PST at Antelope Valley College. Following this contest, Antelope Valley travels to face Glendale on Feb. 18, while Santa Monica hosts Canyons on the same date.
