Barstow vs Chaffey

BARSTOW, Calif. (Interstat) — The Chaffey College Panthers will look to solidify their position in the conference standings when they host the struggling Barstow College Vikings in a California Community College women’s basketball game Wednesday night.

The Panthers (13-11) enter the contest having won three of their last four, including a 71-58 road victory at Victor Valley on Saturday. They boast a balanced attack, but a player to watch is Abby Hardy. The guard-forward is coming off a 21-point, 6-rebound performance in an 82-48 rout of Palo Verde on Feb. 4 and has been a consistent contributor during Chaffey’s recent surge.

Barstow (2-21) is mired in a deep slump, having lost 10 consecutive games since its last win on Dec. 17, 2025. The Vikings are coming off a historically difficult week, suffering a 106-42 loss to Mount San Jacinto on Saturday, which followed an 86-24 defeat at Victor Valley. Their season has been defined by offensive struggles and defensive lapses.

The Vikings will lean on forward Jaydn Lynn Villalobos, who turned in a standout performance of 16 points and 15 rebounds in a Jan. 14 game against San Bernardino Valley, to provide a spark. Barstow’s roster has shown difficulty sustaining that level of production, however.

This matchup is a rematch of a Jan. 10 game, which Chaffey dominated 80-46 in Barstow. The Panthers have won five of their last seven and appear poised for another strong showing at home. Barstow, conversely, has lost its last five games by an average margin of 53.2 points and will be searching for any sign of positive momentum as the season winds down.

Tipoff is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at Chaffey College.
