Palomar vs Imperial Valley
Preview: Palomar Comets at Imperial Valley Arabs
IMPERIAL, Calif. (Interstat) — A surging Palomar women’s basketball team will look to continue its dominant run through conference play when it visits struggling Imperial Valley on Wednesday.
The Comets (15-7) enter the California Community College Athletic Association matchup having won seven of their last eight games, including a 112-47 rout of Southwestern last Friday. Their offense has been potent, averaging 90 points per game during that stretch.
Imperial Valley (4-18) seeks to halt a six-game losing streak. The Arabs have struggled offensively, failing to reach 50 points in five of those losses, including a 62-31 defeat at San Diego City last Friday.
The matchup features a stark contrast in recent form. Palomar crushed Imperial Valley 82-42 in their first meeting on Jan. 16. Comets’ standout Ivorii Seals scored 22 points in that victory and has been on a tear, averaging 21.3 points over her last six contests. She is coming off a 27-point performance against Southwestern.
Imperial Valley will rely on guard Daniela Ortega, who logged 35 minutes in the prior loss to Palomar. She averages 5.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Despite the teams’ divergent records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a narrow contest, forecasting a 100-100 final score. However, trends heavily favor the visiting Comets, who have won by an average margin of 43 points in their last three victories.
Palomar’s next game is at San Diego City on Feb. 18. Imperial Valley travels to Cuyamaca on Feb. 13.
Tip-off is set for Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.
