Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters at Toledo Rockets
TOLEDO (Interstat) — Louisiana Tech will visit Toledo on Monday for a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game at John F. Savage Hall. Both teams enter the matchup with 0-0 records, giving each side a clean start before the season’s schedule begins to take shape.
The Lady Techsters will look to move forward after their most recent result, a 66-61 loss at Rice. Louisiana Tech will be the visiting team in a building that traditionally gives the Rockets a homecourt advantage. Toledo’s most recent result was a 68-58 loss at Miami (Ohio). The Rockets will seek a stronger finish in their first home appearance of the new campaign.
Louisiana Tech’s early schedule includes a trip to McNeese State, a home game against Northwestern State, a visit to Mississippi, a home matchup with Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a trip to Georgia, a home game against Mississippi Valley State, a visit to Arkansas, a home contest with Memphis, a trip to Stephen F. Austin and a home game against Texas A&M-Commerce. Those games will test the Lady Techsters across a mix of road and home settings, with several nonconference matchups offering a chance to build rhythm before the schedule deepens.
Toledo’s upcoming slate features home games against Michigan State, Youngstown State, Valparaiso, Navy, Cincinnati and Oakland, along with road games at Detroit, Michigan, Milwaukee and Northern Iowa. The Rockets will open that stretch with Michigan State at home before moving through a busy nonconference schedule that includes several trips away from John F. Savage Hall.
The game will match two programs still searching for their first result of the season. Louisiana Tech will aim to establish rhythm on the road, while Toledo will try to use its home floor to set an early tone. Both teams have yet to record a win or a loss, so the matchup will serve as an initial measuring point for each roster and an early look at how both sides handle a competitive nonconference test.
The matchup gives both teams an early opportunity to evaluate rotations and establish a defensive identity. Louisiana Tech will travel for its first contest, while Toledo will play in front of a home crowd. With no prior results this season, both rosters enter the game without a win or loss and will use the contest as an early benchmark before their schedules accelerate.
Interstat’s game simulator is projecting a final score of Louisiana Tech 63, Toledo 60. Interstat’s ELO system is projecting Toledo with a 59.4 percent probability to win.
