NORFOLK, Va. (Interstat) — The Norfolk State Spartans used a dominant defensive performance and a commanding advantage in the paint to overwhelm the Morgan State Bears 69-43 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Thursday afternoon at the Constant Convocation Center. The Spartans, who swept the regular-season series, improved to 17-13 overall and solidified their position in the conference standings. The Bears, struggling through a difficult season, fell to 5-26.
