GLEN ALLEN, Va. (Interstat) — La Salle defeated Saint Louis 59-51 in a women’s NCAA basketball game Thursday at Henrico Sports and Events Center. The Explorers never trailed after the first quarter, building a 31-21 halftime lead and maintaining the advantage despite a late push from the Billikens.

Ashleigh Connor led La Salle with 16 points and eight assists. Aryss Macktoon added 15 points. Alyssa Koerkenmeier scored a game-high 18 points and blocked five shots for Saint Louis. Alexia Nelson added 12 points.

Both teams struggled offensively, combining to shoot just 30% from the floor. La Salle secured a decisive 19-11 edge in offensive rebounds. The Explorers improved to 18-12. Saint Louis fell to 12-21.
