Arkansas State at Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. (Interstat) — A surging Arkansas State women’s basketball team, boasting one of the nation’s top records, will face an Eastern Michigan squad seeking consistency in a nonconference matchup Saturday at the Convocation Center.

The Red Wolves (20-4) enter on a seven-game winning streak, their last loss coming on Jan. 10. Their high-powered offense has scored 78 or more points in four of those victories. Eastern Michigan (10-11) has alternated wins and losses in its last six contests, coming off a 75-60 road loss at Massachusetts on Wednesday.

The game features a compelling backcourt matchup between two dynamic guards. Arkansas State is led by Crislyn Rose, who is averaging 18.1 points and 5.1 assists over her last seven games. She scored 21 points in the Red Wolves’ most recent win, a 78-70 victory over Coastal Carolina on Feb. 4.

Eastern Michigan will counter with Peyton Hill, who has been a focal point for the Eagles. Hill is averaging 17.1 points per game over her last eight outings, including a 22-point performance in the loss to UMass. She recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a narrow loss to Western Michigan on Jan. 31.

Arkansas State’s resume includes an impressive 81-72 road win at Arkansas on Dec. 28 and a dominant 75-34 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette on Jan. 15. Their success has been built on both ends of the floor, with recent wins showcasing their balance.

The Eagles have shown flashes, including a 20-point road win at Buffalo (71-51) on Jan. 28 and a home victory over Toledo (76-71) on Jan. 20, where Hill scored 25 points. Protecting home court will be a priority for Eastern Michigan, which is 6-4 at the Convocation Center this season.

This contest marks the final scheduled nonconference game for both teams as they prepare for the stretch run of their respective conference schedules. Tip-off is set for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026.
