Missouri State vs. Coppin State

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Interstat) — The Missouri State Lady Bears look to rebound from their first losing streak of the season when they face the struggling Coppin State Eagles in a non-conference women’s basketball game Sunday.

Missouri State (5-2) arrives at the Coconut Hoops event having dropped two straight, including a 85-75 loss at Florida State on Friday. The Lady Bears were led in that contest by Lainie Douglas, who scored 16 points, and Maycee James, who added 14 points and six rebounds. Prior to the skid, Missouri State had opened the season with five wins in its first six games.

Coppin State (1-6) seeks to steady itself after a difficult stretch. The Eagles are riding a six-game losing streak, with their lone victory coming against Division II Lincoln University on Nov. 6. They are coming off a 100-46 road loss to Oklahoma on Friday, where Paris McBride scored 17 points.

The neutral-site game presents a stark contrast in early-season trajectories. Missouri State will rely on its balanced scoring attack, while Coppin State aims to find consistent offense after being held under 55 points in five of their seven games.

The game is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.
