Arizona State Holds Off Santa Clara to Remain Undefeated
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (Interstat) — The Arizona State Sun Devils built a large first-half lead and withstood a second-half rally to defeat the Santa Clara Broncos 82-77 in a women’s NCAA basketball game Sunday at Leavey Center. Arizona State improved to 4-0, while Santa Clara fell to 3-2. The Sun Devils led by 13 at halftime but saw their advantage shrink in the second half as the Broncos mounted a comeback. A decisive 48-24 edge in points in the paint proved critical for Arizona State in securing the road victory.
