VCU at Loyola Chicago

CHICAGO (Interstat) — The Loyola Chicago Ramblers, riding a five-game winning streak, will look to continue their push toward a winning season when they host the VCU Rams in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball matchup on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at Joseph Gentile Center.

The Ramblers (11-11) have found their rhythm in Atlantic 10 Conference play, with their latest victory a 47-42 defensive struggle at Fordham on Wednesday. Guard Alexa Kinas has been a steadying force during the run, averaging 9.9 points and 3.4 assists over the last seven contests. She scored 14 points in the win over Fordham.

VCU (8-15) arrives in Chicago looking to snap a two-game skid after a 77-65 home loss to Richmond on Sunday. The Rams have struggled for consistency but possess a potent scorer in guard Katarina Knezevic. She erupted for a career-high 22 points in 32 minutes against Richmond, showcasing her ability to carry the offensive load. Her production, however, has fluctuated, highlighting VCU’s season-long challenges.

The Rams’ defense, which held Saint Louis to 39 points in a Jan. 7 win, will be tested by a balanced Loyola Chicago attack. Beyond Kinas, Alexus Mobley provides scoring punch, having posted 17 points against Fordham.

Historically, this is a matchup of teams heading in opposite directions mid-conference play. Loyola Chicago has won seven of its last nine, while VCU has dropped four of its last six. The Ramblers will aim to protect their home court and solidify their position in the conference standings, while the Rams seek a resume-building road victory behind the hot hand of Knezevic.

The game tips off at Joseph Gentile Center in Chicago.
