UAB at Murray State
MURRAY, Ky. (Interstat) — The Murray State Racers look to rebound on their home court Saturday when they host the UAB Blazers in a non-conference women’s basketball matchup at the CFSB Center.
The Racers (3-2) are returning home after an 84-64 road loss to Illinois on Tuesday. Keslyn Secrist led the team with 17 points, while Sharnecce Currie-Jelks added 14 points and eight rebounds. Halli Poock contributed 15 points. Murray State’s offense was previously potent in a 96-88 home victory over Saint Louis on Nov. 15.
The UAB Blazers (2-2) arrive with momentum after a 79-66 win at Chattanooga last Sunday. Eleecia Carter exploded for 25 points in that contest, with Sofia Munoz adding 13 points and five assists. Monae Duffy controlled the glass, pulling down 12 rebounds.
Both teams have shown offensive firepower but have also experienced defensive lapses early in the season. The game represents a final tune-up for both squads before heading to multi-team events next week. Murray State will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida, for games against George Mason and Boston College, while UAB is set to compete in a tournament in Cancún, Mexico.
Tipoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.
