PITTSBURGH (Interstat) — Syracuse cruised to an 84-51 victory over Pittsburgh in an Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Petersen Events Center.

The Orange took control with a 22-point second quarter while holding the Panthers to just four points in the period, building a 43-24 halftime lead. Syracuse extended its advantage after halftime, leading by as many as 36 points. The Orange scored 27 points off turnovers and improved to 20-5 overall. Pittsburgh fell to 8-18. An announced crowd of 722 attended.
