Le Moyne at Saint Francis (PA)

LORETTO, Pa. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum in the back half of the Northeast Conference schedule will meet Saturday when the Le Moyne Dolphins visit the Saint Francis (PA) Red Flash at DeGol Arena.

The matchup features struggling squads, with Le Moyne entering at 6-18 overall and Saint Francis (PA) at 2-20. Despite the records, their previous meeting this season was a tightly contested affair, a 73-69 road victory for the Red Flash over the Dolphins on Jan. 2.

Le Moyne arrives with a measure of confidence after snapping a five-game skid with a 62-49 home win over Wagner on Thursday. Jessica Wangolo, a player to watch for the Dolphins, contributed 9 points and 2 assists in 21 minutes in that victory. Over her last five games, Wangolo has shown versatility, including a 10-point, 7-rebound, 4-assist performance in a win at Central Connecticut on Jan. 10.

The Red Flash look to rebound from a 79-59 home loss to Mercyhurst on Thursday. In that defeat, sophomore Shelby Ricks was a bright spot, scoring a season-high 18 points and blocking 3 shots. Ricks has been a consistent offensive threat for Saint Francis, averaging 14.3 points over her last three contests and reaching double figures in five of her last seven outings.

The game will hinge on which team can capitalize on fleeting opportunities. Le Moyne will aim to build on its recent defensive effort against Wagner, while Saint Francis will rely on Ricks’ scoring punch and hope for improved production around her to secure a season series sweep.

Following this game, Le Moyne travels to Chicago State on Feb. 14. Saint Francis (PA) hits the road for a game at Mercyhurst the same day.

Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST Saturday at DeGol Arena.
