Yale at Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Interstat) — The Brown Bears will look to solidify their position in the Ivy League standings when they host the struggling Yale Bulldogs in a women’s basketball matchup on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at the Pizzitola Sports Center.

Brown (12-7 overall) enters the contest with momentum from a strong season, despite a narrow 61-58 road loss to Harvard last Saturday. The Bears have won four of their last six games, showcasing a balanced attack led by guard Grace Arnolie. The veteran is averaging 19.3 points over her last three contests, including a 16-point effort in the loss to the Crimson.

Yale (5-15) seeks to halt a five-game losing skid, most recently a 77-59 defeat at Dartmouth. The Bulldogs have found wins scarce, with their last victory coming on Jan. 19 at Cornell. Their offense has been inconsistent, failing to reach 60 points in eight of their last nine games.

The Bears handily won the first meeting this season, 88-72, in New Haven on Jan. 5. Arnolie scored 24 points in that victory, while Yale’s Mary Meng was held to four points.

Meng, a key player for the Bulldogs, will be a focal point for Yale. The forward is coming off an 11-point, four-block performance at Dartmouth and has shown versatility with a 10-rebound game against Penn on Jan. 24. Containing Arnolie and generating consistent offense outside of Meng will be critical challenges for Yale.

Brown’s success has been built on defense, holding opponents to an average of 52.3 points in their last three wins. Yale’s defense, which has allowed 77 points per game during its current losing streak, will need a significant turnaround to challenge the Bears on their home court.

The game is part of the Ivy League conference schedule. Following this matchup, Brown will host Dartmouth on Feb. 13, while Yale will host Harvard on the same date.
