HACKENSACK, N.J. (Interstat) — Leah Crosby recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds as Fairleigh Dickinson defeated Mercyhurst 84-64 in a women’s NCAA basketball game Saturday at Rothman Center.

The Knights, now 21-4, never trailed after establishing a 23-12 first-quarter lead. Crosby, a 6-foot sophomore from Plainfield, New Jersey, added three blocks in 26 minutes for Fairleigh Dickinson, which also got 16 points from Madlena Gerke and 14 from Rebecca Osei-Owusu.

Jenna Van Schaik and Cici Hernandez each scored 20 points for the Lakers, who fell to 8-15. Mercyhurst’s 24-point fourth quarter was its best but not enough to overcome the early deficit. Attendance was 309.
