NEW YORK (Interstat) — Ciara Croker scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Marist to a 62-57 victory over Manhattan in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference women’s basketball game Saturday at Draddy Gymnasium.

The Red Foxes, who led 30-33 at halftime, held off a persistent Lady Jaspers team in front of 306 fans. Lexie Tarul added 18 points for Marist, which improved to 5-9. Colette Mulderig led Manhattan with 18 points and four blocks, while Hana Mühl added 14 points. The Lady Jaspers fell to 1-12.

Manhattan, which was favored by statistical projections, could not overcome Marist’s consistent scoring across all four quarters. The Red Foxes secured the win with key free throws in the final minute.
