Lafayette at Saint Francis (PA)

LORETTO, Pa. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking to build on recent offensive performances will meet Sunday when the Lafayette Leopards visit the Saint Francis (PA) Red Flash in a non-conference women’s basketball game.

The Leopards (1-3) are coming off their first win of the season, a 76-58 victory over Saint Peter’s on Thursday. Haylie Adamski scored 17 points and Haley Poser added 16 in the win, which saw Lafayette’s offense break out after being held to 58 points or fewer in its first three contests.

Saint Francis (0-3) is still searching for its first win after a 71-61 home loss to Robert Morris, also on Thursday. Aleah James led the Red Flash with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists in the defeat.

Both teams have struggled defensively early in the season. Lafayette is allowing an average of 69 points per game, while Saint Francis is surrendering 81.3 points per contest.

The game will be played at DeGol Arena. It is the first of a two-game homestand for the Red Flash, who host Carnegie Mellon on Tuesday. The Leopards continue a road-heavy opening stretch, with this being their fourth away game in five outings. They travel to Wagner on Thursday.
