FRESNO, Calif. (Interstat) — Danae Powell scored 22 points to lead Fresno State to a 75-69 women’s basketball victory over Boise State on Wednesday night at Save Mart Center. The Bulldogs built a 45-33 halftime lead and withstood a second-half push from the Broncos.

Fresno State (12-13, 4-8 Mountain West) capitalized on efficiency, committing one fewer turnover and converting them into 18 points. Emilia Long added 18 points for the Bulldogs.

Natalie Pasco scored 19 points for Boise State (19-6, 9-3), which saw its five-game winning streak snapped. Dani Bayes added 15 points and Tatum Thompson had 16. The Broncos shot just 37.9% from the field. Attendance was 1,200.
